The Artist, Creator & The Teacher
As an Artist, I am able to see the art in everything. From Graphic Design to Photography, I am at my best when I am completely submerged in a creative space. Having immersed myself in the culture as an artist first, it has allowed me to become a better teacher. I am my peak artist when I am able to inspire my students to create and watch them enjoy the process of creating. I would be doing my students a disservice by just teaching without relevance, so I pride myself on being a teacher who teaches from doing. Frequently collaborating with forward-thinking creatives across various platforms allows me to bring my students a taste of the art world that they may never experience outside my classroom. Having pushed my traditional discipline of Graphic Design into other art practices, I have ventured into bold new territories, that my students reap the benefits from.
Creativity is an intricate process, with a lot of moving pieces. Sometimes that process can feel daunting or frustrating, especially when you’re starting from scratch. The good news, though, is that even if you need to go for multiple revisions, there are endless possibilities for what you can create. I am an artist who teaches but is always a student of the game. I love the evolving world that Art comes from -- forever changing, forever inspiring. I must say though, my favorite thing about Art is the ability to teach it.
